"Shelter" and "Seasonal Shorts" (3 or 4 men and/or women)
Whether you are based in Akron, Cleveland, Canton, or anywhere in NEO, we want to see you. We are looking for authentic, dedicated local actors for both an intense dramatic ensemble and a high-energy team of comedy chameleons.
Where: Wild Oscar's (An intimate space behind the Civic Theatre, near Bowery & Main in downtown Akron)
When: 6:30-8:30 pm -- on Sunday, Sept. 20 and Monday, Sept. 21, 2026

SHOW 1: "SHELTER" (Drama) by Eric Mansfield
* The Story: A school counselor, history teacher, coach, PTA president, and student officer hide out in an office during a school shooting. When the very student they suspect bursts in to hide with them, their deepest prejudices, secrets, and fears collide.
* Seeking: 2 Males, 4 Females (Ages 17 to 60) (two teens)
* Timeline: Rehearsals begin ; Sept 30 and rehearsals are generally Sunday through Thursday evenings subject to Actor schedules
* Runs Nov 5-15 evenings Thursday through Sunday matinees Sundays two weekends
* To Prepare: Cold readings directly from the script (provided at auditions).
SHOW 2: "SEASONAL SHORTS" (Adult Holiday Comedy)
* The Story: Skip the sugary-sweet pageants. This fast-paced, adults-only evening features six hilarious short plays—from a corporate Kwanzaa HR disaster to a wild desert bachelor party for Joseph.
* Seeking: 3 to 4 versatile comedy actors (18+, any gender/ethnicity) to play multiple tracks.
* Timeline: Rehearsals begin Nov 24ish;
* Runs: Dec 10-20 — Thursday-Sun evenings subject to actor schedules
* To Prepare: A 1 to 2-minute contemporary comedic monologue or prepared reading.
